WWMV's Exciting News

We have some very exciting news to share this week! First off, we are launched WWMV’s first website today, April 13, 2016! We are VERY excited about having our own website and hope listeners and community members use it as a resource. Our website will feature access to our SoundCloud, Community Member of the Month, information about current shows, our blog, events in the community and at LCEC, and information about how community members can volunteer and donate. Second, we started our Raise the Roof! GoFundMe campaign on March 1st and recently closed it on April 11th. We raised over $5,000 with the help of businesses and community members and we couldn’t be any happier with the outcome! We can’t think our donors enough for their help and support. Without them we would not be able to bring a community radio to the west side of Madison.

Our third, and most exciting news is we were awarded a $25,000 grant on April 12, 2016 from the Foundation for Public Schools. Thank you to Foundation for Madison's Public Schools, James Madison Memorial High, Jefferson Middle School, and Muir Elementary School for believing in the power of youth voice in our community! We can’t wait to bring radio to the airwaves in June. Stay “tuned!”
