DIGITAL MEDIA
Description
The Digital Media Internship is an opportunity for college students interested in graphic design and/or photography to help design and produce graphics, photos, for print and multi-media for WWMV-LP, 95.5FM, Madison’s newest community radio station. Interns will develop creative messaging, branding, graphic and visual elements to represent the radio station and celebrate the diversity of the Madison community.
Responsibilities

Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts

Prepare rough drafts and present your ideas

Design and produce visual graphics for multi-media including, websites, flyers, social media, and promotional material

Meet with Radio Station Manager regularly
Commitment
-
10 hours a week for the semester

Mainly on site, some work from home and some in the community

Year-long preferred, semester-long welcomed
Desired Knowledge & Abilities

Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently

Graphic design and/or photography experience

Knowledge of Adobe photoshop, Adobe lightroom, and other digital media programs

Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics, and layouts

Strong communication interpersonal skills

School Credit

UW- Madison: Earn up to 3 Independent Study or Directed Study credits through the Journalism and Communications Departments

Edgewood: Earn 3 or 4 Independent Study credits hours through the Communications Department.
